CARPENTRY FRAMING
Although we at Glen Eagle began many years ago in the Carpentry Framing business and have since branched out into full custom home building and general contracting we still have a passion for stick framing custom homes. There is nothing like strapping on a carpenters tool belt on a warm, sunny, summer morning then looking back at the end of the day to view your accomplishments. We have been framing homes since day one and it is still a very large portion of our business, and we will continue to be very active in the market.
Framing is perhaps the single most important element of home construction. A good carpenter always works very closely with the builder and homeowner and is constantly being asked to coordinate with most of the other trades. The accuracy and workmanship of the framing carpenter ultimately affects every other trade working on your home. Not ensuring a good quality framing job will have severe consequences on the finished home along with the builder or owners scheduling.
We have also over the years gained a vast amount of experience in and are also qualified to install timber frame components and construct partial and full timber frame homes with exposed laminated timbers with great ceiling spans. Erecting and framing such industry leading products as “Normerica”, “Cedar-Built” and “Viceroy”, as well as purchasing raw lumber components and fabricating our own non structural details in and around a home or cottage and even pool areas and gazebo applications.
We have been framing since 1981 and have a vast amount of experience framing anything from pool houses, cabanas and garages to subdivision, multi storey condominiums and production houses up to estate homes and large high end custom homes and cottages. We do not restrict ourselves to our own area, we often travel for jobs with room and board away from home. We own and are properly licensed to operate several pieces of machinery. Zoom/reach forklifts, cherry pickers and cranes are utilized on every project.
